This is a great read, Brenda. It is a tiny slice of the huge problem: the mainstream "healthcare" approach is based on the concept of prescribing synthetic drugs to suppress specific symptoms of various health conditions without addressing the root cause of that condition. One well-known outrageous example is to put people on statin for the rest of their lives to artificially suppress high cholesterol numbers without even considering to find out why the person has those high cholesterol numbers in the first place, and reverse the condition by addressing the root cause of the problem. Statins have awful side effects and many (if not most) people who take it don't need it at all but they ruin their health by those awful drugs. Mental health issues are more complicated, but to keep it short, I just want to reiterate what we already know very well: mental health is inseparable from physical health, and very often mental health issues can be addressed not by psychiatric medications but by natural remedies to adjust the body biochemistry shifting it "in the right direction" and help the body heal itself, and consequently relieve "mental health" symptoms. This is exactly what you describe in your tequila story.
I'm so glad you've managed to get off the synthetic drugs that likely did a lot of damage to your body. Hope you'll be able to stay away from them for good!!
