My elder son lives in Spain. He moved to Madrid from Toronto 7+ years ago without a clear plan to stay more than a year, but like you, here he is, living his life in this amazing country, still alone, but certainly not lonely. After giving Madrid, Oviedo, Gijón, Seville a fair shot, he has found his newfound second home in Málaga.

Madrid is fabulous, but I fell in love with Oviedo more than with any other city in Spain, and even hiked half of the Camino Primitivo, kicking off from the city center, right from the Cathedral...
