It is such a good point. I've traveled into the unknown alone so many times in my life, and I'm still learning who I am. Why? Because "why I am" is changing over the years. Speaking of retirement, I would not perceive it as "unknown". To me it looks like "good riddance" of all the corporate nonsense I had to endure for so many years, just for pay check, - like most people, I guess. I do not fear getting rid of it at all. Assuming a person can afford not having a full time job, but pursue the awesome meaningful things which they like and enjoy doing, retirement is the best thing ever, in my opinion. Nothing to fear.
