I dislike Substuck for two reasons: 1) I totally hate their fragmented user interface. It makes my head hurt. 2) the concept of newsletters (NL), which is central to their business model, is not suitable for my current life priorities. Thinking of the commitment to generate something, anything, on a regular basis just because I promised to do so, and ask people to pay for that makes my head hurt even more. As for other people, who are less susceptible to headaches, I think the NL model will unavoidably lead to packaging bundles of fluff with some decent pieces diluted by watery stuff around them. But I might be wrong, of course.
