I agree that in some cases it may make sense to have 4 meals/day, assuming the time interval between meals is significant enough for a healthy insulin cycle, i.e., about 3 hours. If your feeding window is 12 hours, then 4 meals/day may make sense, especially if one of them is a small pre-workout meal. However, this scenario is more suitable for younger people with fast metabolism than for middle-aged and older adults.
