Good read! I think the delayed maturity of the current generation in the US is not only because of the doubled longevity but also because life became too easy for many if not most young Americans. I' not sure if I could say the same thing about the rest of the world, or even Europe, for that matter. Our family has strong European roots; two of my children (in their 30's now) did their master's degrees in Europe. They noticed instantly that their European peers are lot more mature than their NA peers. I guess there are other factors, including political, economic, etc., but it is quite evident that the current young generation in NA is growing up much slower than it used to be a century ago
